Conversations with my Conscience is a series of short films that center a black woman's view of love in this world and how she is prepared to receive it. Each short film is a chapter in the form of a visual love letter.

Do Remember Me.

A series of workshops  designed to use art as a social advocacy tool and create a voice of activism for youth in Philadelphia and around the world. The workshops utilize technology to connect youth and invoke positive dialogue to dispel myths, media stereotypes and cultural differences and delve deeper to find common ground.

Inherited Sorrow.

Inherited Sorrow is a project in collaboration with the  Community college of Philadelphia that centers using art as bridgework between healing old familial wounds and creating  a new emotional inheritance for future generations of Black and Brown women.

We are Born of 3

Thirteen year old Jade is navigating becoming a teenager and pretending to be her grandmother while helping to care for her great grandmother with dementia. A short animated film coming in 2025!

Parched

A young woman haunted by a old forgotten god is outcast in her world because her blue blood vine did not possess her ancestry. She is determined to survive both the god and the world that has silenced her.

LO/URE

LO/URE is an exploration of the allure and lore of Black women. The centering of   the many ways in which they have created an oasis on the  scorched earth that hungers for their skill and talent but has made them villains for possessing such gifts. An interactive exhibit coming 2025!

A series of short films based on the collected stories of Black and Brown women who have been the spine of various communities within Philadelphia.

from Chitlins to Champagne 

A photo series created to archive the journey of Black women from chitlins to champagne. The series is inspired by my Mother’s annual event “from Chitlins to Champagne”. It is paying homage to the women who have stood in the divide for me and so many others in Philadelphia.
